Kool Kards Feed Health Workers

Dr. Kool Air Conditioning is donating thousands of dollars’ worth of restaurant gift cards to health workers at SW Florida hospitals.

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (April 13, 2020) — Dr. Kool Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is helping doctors, nurses and other health workers who are fighting for patients’ lives with hundreds of dollars in gift cards to local restaurants.

For the month of April, Dr. Kool Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is donating more than $2,000 in local-restaurant gift cards to the hospital heroes on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. For every service call Dr. Kool makes, the company donates a Kool Kard restaurant gift card to a doctor, nurse or hospital employee.

“This is a real doctor-to-doctor effort because we want to show our appreciation for the people who risk their lives to care for others,” says Mark Maner, founder and president of Dr. Kool Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Dr. Kool is donating Kool Kard gift cards from FK Your Diet Restaurant in Lee County and Joey D’s Italian Restaurant in Collier County, the two counties where the air conditioning contractor services residential and commercial customers. To schedule a service call that will benefit Southwest Florida health workers, call 239-405-8797 or visit www.drkoolac.com.

Fact is, hospital workers will be on their feet for long hours and many of them won’t have time to eat as the pandemic grows. “A warm, hot freshly prepared meal means a lot to an exhausted nurse after a brutal shift in the hospital,” says Maner. “And our local restaurants need our help too, so buying gift cards for their take-out operations will help them stay open during this difficult time.”

Maner opened Dr. Kool Air Conditioning & Refrigeration in Bonita Springs in 2013 with a mission of service above profits. The team at Dr. Kool believes it is the moral obligation of every business to serve its community, especially in times of crisis.

“Our business is built on honesty, integrity and dedication to our clients in Lee and Collier counties. We feel it’s our duty to step up to help the health care workers who selflessly put their lives on the line to care for our neighbors,” says Maner.
